Wegovy, semaglutide (higher dose), a diabetes medicine produced by Novo Nordisk, is now approved as a weight-loss drug.

Ozempic is approved for people with type 2 diabetes. But it’s sometimes used off-label for weight loss since it’s the same drug as Wegovy.
